Who We Are Managing Partners Mark Hyman, a partner and Co-Founder of The River Group has 20 years of corporate human resources management and executive search experience.
Mark’s responsibilities at The River Group range from conducting retained and contingency search assignments for our clients to managing operations and business development for the company. Prior to The River Group, Mark founded The Mark Hyman Group, Inc., a boutique executive search firm in Atlanta, GA. Prior to opening TMHG, he spent many successful years as a Division VP for a top Atlanta contingency search firm. Mark’s functional knowledge spans the corporate structure, with particular expertise in organizational change, training, human resources and sales and marketing. Mark continues to recruit for select accounts in Telecommunications and the Test & Measurement Industry. Al Templeton is a partner and Co-Founder of the River Group. He began his career as a Project Manager for National Development Corporation, a North Carolina land development firm. Joining an Atlanta based Executive Search Firm in 1996, Al headed a Business Unit specializing in the recruitment of Civil Engineers. His experience led him to co-found The River Group, Inc. Al specializes in recruiting, operations, research, project management, staff training and business development. He has assisted in the merger and acquisitions of diverse companies. Al has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, NC. He also holds a Real Estate Broker's License and is a Certified Real Estate Instructor. Chemical Practice John Spindler is a Senior Recruiter with The River Group. He specializes in recruiting individuals for key positions in Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, as well as Management, Engineering and Accounting & Finance for Clients within Chemical related industries.John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and began his professional career with a Big 4 Public Accounting firm. During his career, he has served in executive positions in industry, public & private accounting and financial and business management.
Prior to joining The River Group, John was able to fulfill a “lifetime dream” as the Project General Manager for a world class private golf course working with Tom Fazio and designing and constructing the adjoining Private Residential Community. Ron Thompson is an Associate Recruiter with The River Group. His career includes major account sales for a number of Fortune 500 corporations. Ron was also the Vice President of Sales for a national management consulting firm. At The River Group, Ron specializes in placing individuals within the Chemical Industry. Ron's search projects include sales, engineering, accounting, marketing, IT and management positions. Ron earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from Marshall University. Enterprise Software Practice David McSavaney is an experienced recruiter across a number of industries, with a strong background in Technology and Enterprise Software. During 16 years at Hewlett-Packard David led many large scale IT infrastructure and Outsourcing projects; and was Marketing Product Manager for High-End CAD and Visualization systems. Before joining HP, David managed the Asia Pacific Regional Support Center for Apollo Computer. A native of the UK, David has held marketing, systems engineering and service management positions in the UK, US, Singapore and Hong Kong with HP, Apollo, Prime Computer, Datapoint and British Telecom. He retains an interest in high-performance computing, decision analytics, and risk modeling. Food and Beverage Practice Kay Roshnow has over twenty years of experience at IBM in Sales, New Product Development, Information Technology and Management Consulting. In her last 15 years at IBM, she helped found the IBM Consulting business and retired as a Global Partner for Supply Chain Management Consulting. In Ms. Roshnow’s second career she specializes in placing talented individuals within the Food and Beverage industry segment, including sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing/plant operations and IT. Kay earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University, an MBA from the University of Michigan and completed an Executive Development program at Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Business Development Dan Price joined The River Group after beginning his career marketing and fund-raising in the non-profit sector. He was the Executive Director of a chapter of The First Tee, a non-profit that teaches children life skills through the game of golf, and was Tournament Director for an LPGA Tour event. He is also a golf professional having played on both the Hooter’s and Euro-Pro tours. Dan's responsibilities are Sales and Business Development for The River Group and our Contract & Temp-Perm staffing division in Savannah, GA. Dan also continues to recruit for select accounts in the Non-Profit and BioPharma industries. He holds an LLB Honors' Law degree from DeMontfort School of Law in England
