Mark’s responsibilities at The River Group range from conducting retained and contingency search assignments for our clients to managing operations and business development for the company.
Prior to The River Group, Mark founded The Mark Hyman Group, Inc., a boutique executive search firm in Atlanta, GA. Prior to opening TMHG, he spent many successful years as a Division VP for a top Atlanta contingency search firm.
Mark's accomplishments include introducing his former firm to the Telecom industry which later proved to be the largest revenue producing division within the company. Mark’s functional knowledge spans the corporate structure, with particular expertise in organizational change, training, human resources and sales and marketing. Al Templeton is a partner and Co-Founder of the River Group. He began his career as a Project Manager for National Development Corporation, a North Carolina land development firm.
Joining an Atlanta based Executive Search Firm in 1996, Al headed a Business Unit specializing in the recruitment of Civil Engineers. His experience led him to co-found The River Group, Inc. Al specializes in recruiting, operations, research, project management, staff training and business development. He has assisted in the merger and acquisitions of diverse companies. Al has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, NC. He also holds a Real Estate Broker's License and is a Certified Real Estate Instructor. John Spindler is a Senior Recruiter with The River Group. He specializes in recruiting key Sales and Marketing, as well as management, accounting, and engineering individuals within the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and began his career with a Big 4 Public Accounting firm. He has served for over 40 years in executive positions in private accounting, financial and business management. John has also diversified into Project Management for golf course construction and residential community developments prior to joining The River Group. Michele Williams is a Senior Recruiter in our Wireless technology practice. The vast majority of Michele's clients are Red Herring, E&Y and Fierce 15 Award Winners. She is keenly aware of the needs and struggles of high growth organizations and has used primarily "old school" networking along with the latest E-Recruiting and Social Networking methods to build one of the strongest networks in the wireless industry. A key component of Michele's recruiting philosophy is to be respectful of both the candidate and the client's needs, as a new opportunity must be benficial for all parties involved. Michele holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from College of Charleston David McSavaney is an experienced recruiter across a number of industries, with a strong background in Technology and Enterprise Software. During 16 years at Hewlett-Packard David led many large scale IT infrastructure and Outsourcing projects; and was Marketing Product Manager for High-End CAD and Visualization systems. Before joining HP, David managed the Asia Pacific Regional Support Center for Apollo Computer. A native of the UK, David has held marketing, systems engineering and service management positions in the UK, US, Singapore and Hong Kong with HP, Apollo, Prime Computer, Datapoint and British Telecom. He retains an interest in high-performance computing, decision analytics, and risk modeling. Dennis Fehrman is a highly successful Associate of the River Group with 30 years experience manufacturing heavy-duty off-highway equipment, agricultural equipment and consumer products in the metal fabrication industry. Dennis began his career as an Industrial Engineer, holding key management positions in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Operations with Fortune 500 companies prior to entering the Executive Search business. Dennis specializes in Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Resources.
Dennis’ focus is relationship building with individual client companies and candidates. He offers Contingency Recruiting, Engagement Search, and Retained Search, as well as outplacement for executives and engineers.
He holds an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's in Industrial Management. Tom Christ specializes in the recruitment of key management, sales and operation individuals within the food industry. He spent 22 years with 3M in Manufacturing and Operations management and began his career an an Industrial Engineer. Tom was also the owner of two highly successful printing businesses before joining The River Group. Tom holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University Becky Marine brings a strong background as Director of Business Development for a Contract Research Organization in the BioCapital where she worked with many of the nation’s leading PhD’s/M.D.’s in private industry, government, university, and military laboratories. Becky focuses on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical product, and healthcare industries. She has established relationships with a network of over 250 companies nationwide, providing a consultative approach to her client companies and utilizing her industry knowledge and understanding to rapidly place the best candidate possible into each open position. Dan Price joined The River Group after beginning his career marketing and fund-raising in the non-profit sector. He was the Executive Director of a chapter of The First Tee, a non-profit that teaches children life skills through the game of golf, and was Tournament Director for an LPGA Tour event. He is also a golf professional having played on both the Hooter’s and Euro-Pro tours. Dan recruits predominantly within the Broadcast industry and has established many contacts over the years, including Tier 1 & 2 client companies and individual candidate contacts in all areas of the industry. He holds an LLB Honors' Law degree from DeMontfort School of Law in England
