Job Description:

  • The Development Chemist for this role requires being an effective communicator of technical information to best understand the customers’ needs and to disseminate the information by means comprehensible to all levels.
  • Leading technical support for analysis and performance evaluation of related plastic compounds.
  • Formulating a testing plan and developing new test methods if needed, conducting and coordinating the testing, interpreting and communicating results in formal report/memo writing or other format, and conducting other directed or independent studies associated with plastics/chemicals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player.

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. - in Polymer Science, Chemical, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2-4 years of related experience / Masters preferred and 1 year of experience.
  • Knowledge of plastics particularly engineering resins and their processing technology including compounding and extrusion.
  • Knowledge of polymer basic performances with hands - on laboratory skills for processing and testing.
  • Industrial experience with masterbatch manufacturing and performance evaluation, for example, development of pigmentated systems.
  • Experience of interacting with both internal and external customers on varieties of projects.

Salary: 65000 - 75000
